To register your flight information, please click here. All attendees are required to book your own airline travel to/from your home airport to Cancun, Mexico. The airport code for Cancun is CUN. We encourage you to book your airline reservation as soon as you register. Direct flights are already booking up for this peak season in Mexico. For your flight to Cancun on January 8, 2012, we recommend that your flight arrives into Cancun no later than 5:00 pm. For your return flight to the US, you will be required to depart from the hotel 3 hours prior to your flight departure time. Therefore, we recommend that you do not book a flight from Cancun departing prior to 10:00 am. 9:00 am flight departures will depart from the hotel at 6:00 am; 10:00 am flight departures will depart from the hotel at 7:00 am and so on. FLIGHT ITINERARIES BioGuard is providing complimentary roundtrip transportation from the Cancun Airport to Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort from January 6th - 14th. If you would like transportation between the Cancun Airport and the Moon Palace on any of these dates, please click here to register your flight information on-line by November 28th. Transfers to and from Moon Palace will be made based on the flight information you provide. If you are arriving prior to January 6 or departing after January 14, you will be responsible for your own transfers to and from the hotel. PASSPORT A valid passport is required for travel to/from Mexico. For more information on obtaining a passport click here. AIRLINE TRAVEL TIPS Travel to Cancun, Mexico is considered international travel. It is recommended that you arrive at your home airport at least two to three hours before your flight departure time. Each ticketed passenger MUST show a passport at airline check-in. You are also required to show a copy of your boarding pass. LUGGAGE The baggage allowance for all commercial airlines is two checked pieces and one carry-on per person, plus one personal item (purse, briefcase, camera case, or laptop case). Please note that most airlines are now charging for checked baggage although many airlines allow one free checked bag per person on international flights to Mexico. All baggage must meet weight and size requirements. Generally, for all airlines, carry on luggage cannot exceed 40 pounds and/or 45 inches (length of bag X width of bag). Checked bags cannot exceed 50 pounds and/or 62 inches. Bags weighing in excess of 50 pounds will likely be charged an additional fee. Limitations on baggage allowance and weight and size requirements vary by airline so check the website of your airline before departure for more information. For safety and easy access, we recommend that all airline tickets, valuables, medicine, money, jewelry, and cameras be placed in your carry-on bag. When checking your luggage, be sure it is checked to your final destination - Cancun (Airport Code: CUN). Make sure that you have a claim check for each piece of luggage. ARRIVAL IN CANCUN BioGuard guests will be met outside the terminal at the Cancun Airport. After you depart your plane, proceed to Immigration for entry into Mexico. Keep your passport handy, as well as the Tourist Card information you will be given on the airplane during your flight. Your passport will be stamped and your Tourist Card will be validated. Don't lose your Tourist Card - you will need it for your return to the United States. From immigration, proceed to baggage claim to collect your luggage and head straight to Customs. The Cancun airport is very small and compact - there will be airport staff and signs to guide you through each step, making it very easy for you. Once through Customs, head straight through the transportation lobby to outside. All transfer arrangements have been pre-arranged so it is not necessary to stop at any of the transportation booths. As soon as you step outside, you will see travel staff holding BioGuard signs. These staff will direct you to the buses for your transfer to the resort. You are required to bring your luggage to the buses and then porters will help you load your luggage on to the buses to the hotel. The transfer to the resort is approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. When you reach the Moon Palace, you will be met by travel staff who will direct you to hotel check-in and to the BioGuard Hospitality Desk. GROUND TRANSPORTATION BioGuard will provide roundtrip transportation from Cancun International Airport to the Moon Palace from January 6th to 14th.
